Now, we’re looking for a Senior Creative Designer who doesn’t just execute but imagines, shapes, and elevates the work. Someone who can turn complex ideas into compelling creative systems, and craft stories that resonate across every touchpoint.
The Opportunity
This is a chance to help define how a global fintech brand shows up creatively.
You’ll sit at the intersection of brand, storytelling, and product. You’ll take on briefs that start as abstract challenges — and transform them into clear, distinctive, and memorable creative concepts.
From global campaigns to product narratives, from sales enablement to brand moments — you’ll bring ideas to life that not only look exceptional, but communicate with intent and move the business forward.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in the space between strategy and craft — who can zoom out to shape a concept, then zoom in to finesse every detail.
What You’ll Do
Lead with ideas. Develop creative concepts that translate Airwallex’s value proposition into engaging, human, and visually striking narratives.
Design across the ecosystem. Create high-quality work across campaigns, digital experiences, product storytelling, sales materials, and internal initiatives.
Turn complexity into clarity. Distil nuanced, B2B and fintech concepts into creative that’s intuitive, persuasive, and visually compelling.
Collaborate to elevate. Partner with Growth, Marketing, Product, and Sales to co-create ideas that are both strategically sound and creatively ambitious.
Build creative systems. Evolve and expand Airwallex’s visual language — from templates and guidelines to scalable campaign frameworks.
Prototype and experiment. Explore new formats, motion, and interaction to push how the brand shows up — from static to dynamic experiences.
Own the journey. Take work from early concept through to rollout, ensuring ideas translate seamlessly into execution.
Champion craft and culture. Contribute to critiques, inspire peers, and help raise the bar for creative thinking across the team.
Who You Are
You’re not just a designer — you’re a visual thinker and storyteller.
6–9 years’ experience in visual design, brand, or creative communications — ideally in an agency or high-growth tech environment.
A portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking as much as visual execution — showing how ideas come to life across different formats.
Ability to think in systems, campaigns, and narratives — not just one-off assets.
Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, colour, and hierarchy — with the judgment to know when to push them.
Comfortable working across formats: from presentations and landing pages to campaigns, social, and motion.
A collaborative mindset — you enjoy shaping ideas with others, not just delivering them.
Fluent in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Motion or interactive experience is a plus.
The Role & Environment
This is a fixed-term FTE contract through to 31 December 2026, working in a hybrid setup primarily remote, with in-person collaboration at Airwallex’s Sydney office.
